What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that range is broad.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Infrastructure

This is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Pair that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Now, the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
